Residential External Works Roll Out

Clays Walling logo

Our Client had developed an opportunity with a Medium sized national home improvement company, who were undertaking various external works to privately owned residential properties.

The Challenge

This framework project involved the replacement of the existing driveways, stonewalls and minor landscaping elements, to approximately 200 homes in the north of England at a value of £3million.

The Client requested that Clays provide cost surety, develop site specific Risk Assessments & Method Statements and Provide first class installation on each individual project.

Result

As part of our service for Clays we were able to develop a generic scope of works in which we were able agree a schedule of rates with the client which could be applied to each individual project. Due to our development of the scope of works this allowed us to provide a Construction Phase Health and Safety plans and sign off process for the full roll out.

The delivery programme for the works required Clays to be able to be flexible in the complexity and location of each scheme which meant that Clays had challenges with the procurement of labour, plant and materials. As part of our service we were able to secure labour, plant and materials at preferential rates while implementing a ‘call off’ procurement process with local providers.

This assisted Clays in the successful delivery of the roll out and provided further opportunities with the client.
